Good Palestinians have a choice to make, the same choice good Germans, good Japanese, and good Italians had to make during World War II, or even American colonists during the US Revolutionary War: fight for what’s right or capitulate to tyranny.
If good Palestinians capitulate to Hamas, Israel will mete out consequences, just like the US did for Hitler, Hirohito, and Il Duce. If, however, good Palestinians stand up to terrorism, they may reap the rewards of personal sacrifice and commitment to what they say is their “Religion of Peace,” Islam.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
Yet, Hamas and their apologists (the entire global liberal, left, socialist, communist, progressive movement, apparently) would have you believe the Israelis are the aggressors and oppressors in this scenario.
They say that Gaza is an “open-air prison,” which is fake news. Gaza is the failure of the Arab/Muslim world, which ignores Hamas terror while shouting about Israeli oppression, all the while doing absolutely nothing to help the situation. Egypt, for example, shares a border with Gaza but has closed it in the wake of this recent conflict, citing “security concerns.”
What security concerns could there possibly be from Palestinian refugees?
Some say Palestine pre-dates Israel. Only if you don’t count the 4,000 years since the migration of the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land.
“Palestinians” have never existed as a singular race of people. They were, are now, and will always be a nomadic mix of Egyptian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Syrian, Iraqi, and Bedouin peoples.
The territories currently occupied by “Palestinians”–Gaza, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights–were won in modern wars, two in particular:
Six-Day War (5-10 June 1967) – Eight Arab countries invaded Israel with the purpose of erasing Jews from planet Earth: Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Pakistan.
Yom Kippur War (6-12 October 1973) – This time, twelve countries invaded Israel with the same purpose: Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Jordan, Iraq, Libya, Kuwait, Tunisia, and Morocco plus the non-Arab states of Cuba and North Korea.
And now we have:
Hamas-Israeli War (7 October – Present 2023) – Hamas invaded Israel with the purpose of erasing Jews from planet Earth. They are supported by Iran, Turkey, Qatar, and Lebanon.
It is interesting to note that Arab/Muslim countries, which protest vehemently about Israeli treatment of Palestinians, have their own track record of abandoning Palestinian refugees.
Thus far, the only Arab countries that have accepted Palestinian refugees or immigrants from the current crisis are Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. However, the status and treatment of Palestinian refugees and immigrants can vary widely within these countries, where they may also face legal and social challenges, especially in terms of their rights and access to services. Additionally, the situation for Palestinian refugees can change over time due to regional political dynamics and conflicts. The bottom line is that even the Muslim countries that accept Palestinians do not offer them immigration or a path to citizenship. These people are eternally “refugees” and kept in camps like so much cattle.
Furthermore, not a single Arab/Muslim country has offered relief to Palestinian refugees in the current Israeli/Hamas War. As noted above, some, like Egypt (which, again, shares a border with Gaza), say “security” is the most important priority for them right now.
Why don’t Arab/Muslim countries care for their own? There are nearly 50 countries on Earth with at least 50 percent Muslim populations. Why can’t these countries, rather than railing against Israelis, put their money where their mouths are and then do something about it?
Why are hundreds of millions of dollars spent on weapons of death for Hamas and Hezbollah when they could be spent on Palestinian infrastructure, i.e., desalination plants, irrigation, agriculture, housing, industry, etc.?
Because Arab/Muslim countries believe that “Palestinians” is a catch-all for mostly historically nomadic, second-class citizens from all over the Middle East. No one will claim responsibility, but they will join to attack Israel.
And the consensus among these enemies of Israel is that Palestine should exist and Israel should cease to exist.
Good Palestinians have a choice to make. Excrete the terrorists or face the consequences.
That’s as warm and fuzzy as it gets, folks. All this talk about protecting civilians is moot in the face of an enemy that tries hard to look like civilians or uses them as human shields. These people train children to kill. They have no notion of the value of human life, at least not in the way those of us outside their terror bubble do. They use mosques, schools, hospitals, and civilian domiciles as bases and sites to keep their caches of weapons and ammunition, making these normally protected areas legitimate military targets – on purpose.
There is no magic solution here. It’s messy and will get messier unless good Palestinians do the right thing.
