The State of America

In the wake of Charlie Kirks assassination, many have felt confused, angry, despondent, and perhaps even vengeful. I certainly have. There is also a collective feeling of aimlessness. In ten years, Charlie has become a cornerstone in the Conservative movement and with him being slaughtered, thousands perhaps millions are asking “Where do we go from here?” This question is what I originally was going to try and answer with this article. However, today I listened to a video by Nick Freitas and I cannot say anything better than that. By hearing what Nick had to say, and knowing that I felt a lot of what he has been feeling as well, helped me get my feet back under myself. I really encourage anyone reading this, if you are of like mind, to go give it a listen.

With my bearings reset, what I am going to do now, instead of answering the question above, is to give a sitrep of the country. For anyone not aware, a sitrep is a periodic report of a current military situation. Though it is not limited to that. As Americans, we often take too long to realize when war is upon us, we like to wait until something very drastic has happened. Think the Zimmermann telegram or Pearl Harbor. Heck, it wasn’t until Covid that we realized that China might not like us all that much. Before they were just our “competitors” and not actual enemies that we had to treat in kind. Charlie is Pearl Harbor.

We are currently in a Cold Civil War here in the US. Many over the years have speculated on if or when this would come and what it would look like. Others have been trying to stave this off for a long time because if you love this country and what it stands for, Civil War is that most disheartening thing.

Those people are gone now. The war is here and this is what it looks like. With the loss of Charlie, we lost every hope of reconciliation. Not because he was some sort of unique individual, it’s because he wasn’t. He was a normal guy with normal opinions, and they despised him for it.

There is even more here, or in this video that show cases a compilation of such people.

All of this begs the question, if they are going to treat him with such vitriol, the moderate man, what do they think of you or of me? Are they willing to kill me too? Yes, yes they are.

And they’ll celebrate it, then say its our fault for being killed.

We cannot live in a country, form a civilization, with people who want us dead. We cannot negotiate when the terms are they live, we die. So yes, the cold civil war is here, and it is a war of survival. I’ve heard it said before that conservatives think liberals are stupid, and liberals think conservatives are evil. There are no such misgivings anymore.

Now remember, earlier I said that it’s a cold civil war. We must keep it that way. We must not respond to the left in kind. Keep what Nick Freitas said in mind. That is how we win, that is how we survive. It is now time for all of us who said that we’d fight for our country to put our money where our mouth is. Sure, it’s not what a lot of us imagined this would be like, and in some ways this is far more difficult, but the stakes are the same. Our country, our lives, our families lives are at risk. And I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been the kind to go down swinging.
